About Me.

Thomas Mueller is an accomplished musician and educator based in the greater New England area. He possesses a diverse range of talents in both piano and vocal performance and earned his bachelor's degree in music from Clark University, specializing in performance and composition.

Thomas is a versatile pianist and is experienced in a multitude of genres spanning across jazz, classical, and pop. With a rich background, he has showcased his skills in jazz combos, jazz ensembles, and general business bands, covering a spectrum of top 40 hits. Currently, Thomas plays keys in the Connecticut-based Billy Joel Tribute Band, Stiletto, performing at esteemed venues such as MGM, Lake Compounce, and the Phoenix Stage Company.

As an accomplished musical director, Thomas has led a variety of ensembles at Clark University. His experience extends to partnering with renowned venues such as the Grammy award-winning Mechanics Hall, where he orchestrated a film and album titled "Seniors Love Jazz." The film was streamed across senior centers in Massachusetts during the pandemic and features five of his original arrangements and two compositions that he directed and vocally performed.

 

In the role of a dedicated educator, Thomas imparts his comprehensive knowledge to students of all skill levels. His instructional topics encompass technique refinement, improvisation, lead sheet interpretation, and music theory. With a patient and supportive approach, Thomas ensures that his students receive the necessary guidance to flourish as musicians, providing them with an extensive repertoire foundation.
